After two very good set up episodes, I watched ep3 in the early hours last night and very good it was too.
We're down to the final stages of the show now. Three eps left and then that's it.
Brilliant, brilliant tv.
Display MoreGame of Thrones fans are nearly at the end of what has been a rollercoaster decade.
But as next week’s final episode draws closer, work has begun on what will fill the void.
I’m told the show’s prequel began filming in Belfast two weeks ago and has the working title Bloodmoon.
The new series, set more than five thousand years before the events of the current series, will follow the story of the Children Of The Forest.
A source said: “Thrones fans will be delighted to hear things have started with the prequel.
“Those working on the set in Belfast are referring to the series as Bloodmoon. Producers have put together a stellar cast and it will be must-watch telly for anyone who loves Game Of Thrones.”
Full story on link. If it's as well made as GOT and big budget should be a belter.
Interesting info about the new prequel series, thanks.
Managed to watch ep 5 of GoT last night and it was excellent. I wasn't so keen on last week's episode (no4) as it was all filmed in the dark, but yesterday's ep was very satisfying indeed.
Last ever ep next week.
Well the story is over and I am mightily disappointed , I will give no spoilers but this last series was far , far, too rushed , the last episode left so many questions unanswered it bordered on farce!
Just seen the last episode and I really enjoyed it. I didn't think it left any answered questions at all and it all seemed to be wrapped up "nicely", if it can be phrased like that. But I agree that the last series seem rushed. Major characters like Cersei needed far more screen time than they actually got.
Keeping our ears covered and eyes shut. Still need to watch season 7.
I've had to re-encode series 7 as the media server PC was having to transcode the mp4 files on the fly for the smart TV and it was stuttering. Now all mkv files ready to binge on. Then we can see about getting Series 8. We don't have Sky Atlantic as we're VM customers but the fast Broadband makes up for it.
Indeed it does.

All 23.4 GBytes.
For me, the modern age of tv, started when ntl made broadband available in my area around 2003/2004 and I've never looked back since. The only problem is, that also coincided with what turned out to be a total and permanent change in my personal circumstances which meant I rarely had the time to watch anything. So, I have a "few" things on the boiler for the future.
Now have season 8 (1080P) stashed on the PC for later binge viewing. Need to add the episode titles as except for E01 they're missing.

We had cable TV from NTL when it first came about: Analog and 40 channels. When they went digital we had the Pace 4000 STB that also gave 256K "broadband" Since then VM have steadily upped the speed so we're now on 70Mbs down and about 5.5 Mbs up with an SH1 (modem mode). Buffalo air station nfinity router. Very solid. Download above sat right on the money.
Anyone seen the Aldi advert with the Dragon? , SHEER class .
No. I'll see if its on youtube, thanks.
I was so sorry to see Danny knifed by Jon. The deaths of the dragons were hard to take but I really enjoyed seeing the iron throne melted.
Many fans are complaining that the last 2 episodes were rushed. The author seems to be hinting at other endings for the books.
Holding my eyes open with matchsticks today as I came across reruns of GOT last night and they had three episodes back to back. I'd forgotten a lot of what happened in the early times so I watched them all again.
It's a great show. When/if I get the time in the future, I'd like to watch it all again too. I started to do that last year before the last eps aired, but I had to stop.
Some of the actors are so young in the early episodes! Jaime Lannister looking incredibly young and handsome in these episodes
We've still go to settle down and watch the last two seasons. Too much going on at the moment.
That "Red Wedding" ep will always be the best for me.
We're waiting for the final series to be on dvd, we have all the earlier ones
