  • But despite everything and local election results seem to confirm this, the SNP are still top dogs in Scotland whether we like it or not.

They won’t vote Tory or Labour so they get SNP by default. The ultimate protest vote.

  • Sturgeon has very recently nationalised ScotRail. It has gone the same way as every other organisation Sturgeon has had her grubby hands on, Total incompetence is her usual method of working. We now have cancellations, curtailed services between Scotland's Cities and a threatened rail strike. Sturgeon is a disgrace and Scotland is suffering from her lack of ability. This is a symptom of a one party Marxist state.

Socialism in action - always the same - eventually the money runs out - everyone gets poorer and then finally regime change. Whilst the majority of Scots vote SNP they will get what they deserve. The most toxic and divisive of the devolved governments by far.

Yes if that's what the majority of voters want so be it.

  • Scottish independence: 19 October 2023 proposed as date for referendum
The UK Supreme Court will be asked if the Scottish government can hold a vote without UK consent.

    Here we go again....

Does Mrs Fish ever talk about anything else?

I have no doubt the supreme court will strike down the SNP motion, as the law is clear. Only the UK government can grant Scotland another vote and Boris has already said he won't agree to that, so where do we go from here?

Sturgeon and the other NATS are not going to shut up on this issue and to be fair to them, a majority of Scots wanted to stay in the EU. When they voted in their independence referendum, the Scots were told by Cameron that their place in the EU was secure, so there has been a "slight" change since then.

Should they get another vote and just get it out of the way with?

  • Sturgeon has never been able give any relevant facts to convince Scots that being split from the rest of the UK will in any way make the lives of Sots any better. She wants to be an absolute dictator and her anti English rhetoric is spouted to convince her sheep like cult members to support her in that ambition. She is destroying Scotland.

  • I don't think it would be easy or quick either, for any of us.

If Scots want independence (for whatever reason), I have no problem with that, but what concerns me is the impact on the rest of us. If would make Brexit look insignificant in comparison.

So you do have a problem then?

  • I’ve said on this forum many times that Scottish independence is bad for England. For certain they will rejoin the EU via some special accommodation given to them. A hard border will form with England and given that Scotland will have no military they will accept EU assistance to patrol and keep the border secure. Foreign military boots on this island and nothing we can do about it. Even the Germans in WWII didn’t manage that. Sturgeon will be pissing herself with laughter at the destruction of the UK she will have presided over. I really don’t think she has thought about anything beyond this point she just wants to stick it to the English. Ultimately I blame Tony Blair and Labour with their devolved governments.
