After a warmish but wet miserable day yesterday, lovely and sunny today for me, but I'm told the nearby countryside roads are icy, so very cold.

Lucky you, it's dull and cold here about 4C. There is rain on the way.
Ooop, that dull weather appears to be arriving near me, I can see it getting darker in the distance.
Looking very heavy now and the temperature is dropping. Wouldn't be surprised to see some snow for a while.
Clear blue sky here, snow still on the paths been out in the back garden for an hour working. Got a surprising amount done. Long may the clear frosty weather continue.
Sun just coming our for me now, Might turn into a nice day after the earlier wet.
Well it's been chucking it down here for the last hour and it's heading your way. Enjoy.
It came, gone now. Back to sun.
Been raining all morning. Sky very dark. Have had to have the house lights on all morning. A bit Dreich
Snow forecast for the Thames Valley from around midnight tonight. You guys living on the east side of the country look as if you are really going to cop it. Can I bring my sledge?

Reading has become one of the most traffic congested cities anywhere in England. And being English, where two inches of snow can paralyse the country and prompt headlines like "The Big Freeze", then I'm glad I'm where I am.
We've stayed with friends in Vienna in the winter, where snow is... like.... SNOW..!! It doesn't bother them one bit. We just got used to going everywhere on skis. It was kinda fun. MacDonalds has a ski-through...!! How about that..!!!
Britain is blessed with a temperate climate but its made us a little soft. Especially in the south. I blame the Gulf Stream. Snow is nothing to worry about if you're basically organised and have a pair of Blizzards you can strap on your feet to nip down to Morrison's on.
A little touch of Alpine weather won't do us any harm.

You'll have a hard time sledging in London at least We got snow, but it's not heavy enough and only just above that of sleet, so it won't settle. Tonight may be a different story though when the temperatures drop to below freezing.
Nothing here at the moment, sunny periods but biting wind.
Our snow never materialised here! The children are very disappointed!
Fine snow falling now. Rain radar shows a lot more heading this way. Very cold.
After a few days of snow in London which did settle, back to normal service. Lovely sunny day again.
We've over a foot of snow -- looks like I will be clearing the Drive and digging the car out again . But never mind,------- Clear Blue Sky, no wind, we had -7 degrees through the night , should be a nice day today.
Not had any more snow but it's still very cold. Looks like another frost tonight, we've been down to -2°C several nights, but at least we've been spared the mind numbing cold at Braemar: -23°C.
I doubt many will be wearing a kilt.
Bright earlier but now some cloud coming over. We're promised some milder temperatures for the next week. I'm fed up with it being so bleeding cold and needing so much heat on.
Here in Central Scotland we've had even more snow this afternoon. That on top of the foot of snow already lying means that I'll be shovelling snow again tomorrow.. Still, it's very good exercise and at least we get a chance to chat to our neighbours who will be clearing snow as well.
