Very handy, that.
I might create a thread called Useful info, or Tips & Tricks, or something like that, with info like that in the future.
Went out early this morning to get a paper, wish I stayed inside!
Bloody freezing! A bit of ice on the cars in the streets, but all in all, it's turning out a nice day. The sun is shining over London today.
Raining where I am.
Flurry of snow, at my place. It's cold here.
Do Germans like the snow, ie, do the youngsters make snowmen and go and play out in it, if you get heavy snowfall?
Not seen any snow in London for several years.
Due to the "green house effect" aka global warming, London tends to avoid many of the extremes that the weather can bring.

Yeah, we do... I've just bought baby carrots for my little sister
Good stuff!
I love snowmen, still do them now, just need snow!
Nice sunny day here but chilly, we just avoided a frost. Perfect day to get some laundry done and dried outside for that fresh smell.
Been raining where I am for hours and still at it.

As you may recall from my garden pictures, my garden is too sheltered, so I don't bother putting washing out as it never gets dry at this time of the year.

Is that cooling things down for you LW, or is it still a sauna?
No, heat's off and it's cold today.
All week in London, some days have been sunny and some overcast.
Last night was the coldest night of the year. It was forecast to go down to freezing, it didn't quite make it, but somewhere between 2-3C instead.
As I type this, I can see a few snowflakes falling from the sky. Not seen any snow for a few years.
It was a bit nippy earlier a good hard frost, but now it's blue-sky and sunshine, but still cold.
Was down to +0.2°C here with white frost again. Just caught the most exposed nasturtiums, most look fine still. Sunny at the moment but only +3.5°C
Winter draws on.
Supposedly warming up again from now on, so no winter just yet. Was getting quite excited about the snowflakes a hour ago, but all stopped now.
Skywatchers have begun catching glimpses of this month's "supermoon" - when the Moon appears larger and brighter in the sky.
The supermoon phenomenon happens when the Moon reaches its closest point to Earth, known as a perigee Moon.
Blast! It's overcast in London.
Anyone seeing the supermoon?
Still mostly raining where I am.
