Thanks for the heads up. Despite all the recent rain, my gardens are still very dry and I suspect from now it will be a "issue" trying to water my front garden. So, I won't complain about rain, as long as we get some sun too sometimes.

Had some rain showers today, but the sun is trying to come out and it looks like it will be a nice afternoon.
Showers earlier but now bright and breezy.
Actually had a bit of time in the sun today and very nice it was too.
Sunshine all day but starting to get hella cold.
Advance weather warning issued for heavy thunderstorms in the southeast, Tuesday night
Edit: Warning level raised to yellow for Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Thanks Heero, that'll keep my gardens watered!
Nice and sunny today, though.
5 a.m. freezing. Fingers frozen. Air outside like putting your face against a steel wall.
Blimey! Go back to sleep LW. Some of us don't have a choice about being awake at 5am, although at least for me, it was 20C+ inside.
Nice and sunny at the moment, but it's the calm before the storm, literally. Heavy rain and thunderstorms later today and tomorrow. I was just outside making sure everything is tied down.
Mr V has to get up at 4 a.m. now to avoid the lunatic traffic.
Dull here and looking even heavier out to sea. According to the rain radar the worst of the current batch is going in over Portsmouth and Hayling Island. A few thundery drops as I was going to the dump this morning. 4 more bags of garden rubbish, mostly ivy.

The traffic is that bad??
I thought the one thing you had, the biggest advantage over all, was space. I suppose all cities get crowded in the end. I'm always awake at 4am too, but for very different reasons, so I sympathise with Mr V for being up at that ungodly hour.

Had some rain showers where I am, but not the heavy rain and thunderstorms that was forecast. As I've mentioned in the past, the one benefit of being in the Thames Valley is the worst of the weather seems to bounce off us and go elsewhere - apart from the summer heat...
6C inside at 7.30 a.m. Cold enough outside to ...
Blimey! My house has never dropped below 12C even in the coldest weather.
After a few days of rain, the sun is back and warming up again here in London.
Winter is only starting. Soon it'll be even colder.
Another one of those sunny breezy days we often get when all the cloud is pushed inland. Look out of the north facing windows and it's black over the downs, south windows clear blue sky. Strong sunshine and 19°C
Out all my windows, its mostly cloud. The sun has been trying all day to come out and I get little bits of it, but it only lasts a few minutes. Feels measuredly cooler as well.

I'll try and post some nice sunny pics over the next few months to cheer you up.
Thanks. I have plenty of sun in the day. I just freeze nights and mornings and inside.
What I lack is rain. Post me pictures of rain. Won't be seeing any for months. Maybe an occasional passing cold front might release a little rain, but mostly it's dry and brittle and static electricity everywhere. Get shocks when you touch things and your hair stands up like David Bowie. Even the dog's tail is freaking out on the end .
Just had two days of rain, so missed that, but as we're into tennis season here, I'm sure there'll be more rain to come.
Bright sunshine but breezy here again on the coast: 19°C Again all the cloud staying over the downs and inland.
Forecast is for the "Spanish Plume" to assert itself over the weekend and early next week. Inland temperatures in the East to break 30°C but a risk of thunderstorms.
