  • Yep. I'm glad the dog is okay, it must have been very scared.

I have a friend of a friend who is retraining in drone usage and hopes to launch a full-blown business next year. He's had to get lots of certificates and do tons of training, but the hope is his drone company will be able to do things like search and rescue, which could be transformative. Also, he plans to work a lot with farmers, land surveyors, builders, the greenies etc, so it could be very big in time.

  • How did she get there in the first place?

Local Farmer put his sheep to graze which is normal , but the Ewe somehow went down a very steep slippery grassy cliff and ended up on a very rocky shoreline , Famer tried to rescue her , but the steep cliff made it a very dangerous to descend , they could get her off via boat either.

It took a team of volunteers who brought it equipment to eventually catch her and pull her up the cliff, they were amazed she had survived two years of hard weather, they think she sheltered in small caves during the bad winter weather

    Brilliant. :)

When I last read about this a few days ago, the story was that there was zero chance that the sheep would get rescued because the Scottish RSPCA didn't have the resources to do it. I'm glad resources have been found.

If we use animals (as we keep doing..) for our own purposes, then we have an inheritant obligation to look after them and not abandon them, as this sheep will have suffered for being lonely for such a long time.

  • Just been reading about Fiona the rescued the sheep she has been shorn and being well looked after at a Petting Farm which is currently closed for the winter her treatment is being supervised by a Vet.

However there was a small demonstration at the Farm who think she should be there, personally I think the five farmers that rescued her do know a thing or two about looking after livestock.

  • It certainly is a strange little beastie. Amazing how some things can manage to survive despite overwhelming odds.

  • There’s a Bill going through the Commons right now. It’s been very slow going.

  • On most of London's Street you cannot park on the pavement, in some places you can where the pavements are wider that have been reinforced to hold the weight of vehicles, parking on the pavements is anti social and causes damage to the pavements

Lets hope that includes the thousand of rentable Boris bikes eBikes. I walk with a limp and watch the ground for uneven surfaces etc and it really annoys me when someone leaves a cycle in the middle of a narrow pavement on it's stand down some side street. I dread to think what's it's like for the blind and those with pushchairs or in a wheelchair etc who would be forced to step into the road if not walk into it if blind.

  • Yes, I understand. They say that drinking too much alcohol leads to memory loss.

Not only that, but it can also lead to memory loss.

  • What about these modern Disability vehicles - I keep seeing people blast past me at 100 MPH (OK 8 MPH) It amazes me that despite the new ultra-modern look, they do not have hi-Viz type colouring.

It must be true - the BBC reported it > >
