Billions of euros of British taxpayers' money could remain locked into an EU bank for more than thirty years after Brexit, the UK has been warned.
Alexander Stubb, vice president of the European Investment Bank - in which the UK is a 16% shareholder - said it would not be fully repaid until 2054.
Just catching up with stories from the past couple of weeks and this one made me laugh.
The EU is currently demanding that as part of the UK's negotiations with them, we agree upfront our divorce bill before negotiations can progress onto trade, and then this story arrives....
Are we being played for fools here?
So, the EU want out dosh now, but they may not return our money for decades to come. IF the UK agrees to all this nonsense, our government should be shot.
