Does freedom of expression exist in the UK?

  • Freedom of expression is dead in the UK. Expressing an opinion can see you arrested and charged with a crime. Schools, universities and the public sector are now re-education camps who's sole purpose is to indoctrinate.

    My petition:

    Repeal The Equality Act 2010

The Equality Act 2010 prohibits freedom of thought and expression. These are the cornerstones of a free democratic society. The Act forces a belief system onto the public and criminalises those who have the "wrong" views. Please allow The UK to be a free society once again.

Please help protect freedom of expression by signing and sharing my petition:

  • Everyone, Lets keep this thread specifically on topic please around freedom of expression and whether our law helps or hinders that. General issues on imigration, race and religion in the UK go here:

The Great Debate on Immigration, Race and Religion in the UK

If you start talking about burkhas etc, those posts will either get moved into the central thread or deleted. Freedom of expression is allowed on Forum Box as long as its within the law and in the right place.

    Thank you.

  • In answer to the OP's question, freedom of expression is not dead in the UK, but severely limited. It happens to be the main issue with running a site like this, in that you cannot truly cannot say what you want.

For those unaware, The Equality Act is the latest and consolidated version of the various Race Relations and Disability discrimination acts from the last few decades.

I've read the act and when/if I get the time, will post some bits from it to discuss here.

Personally, I think this Act at the very least needs a "bit" of a rewrite.

  • I don't think we should mix up the governments' agenda to indoctrinate the people going to schools and uni's with the overall right of free speech and expression.

We live in one of, if not the most free society on the planet. Freedom of speech doesn't necessarily mean that we can say whatever we want wherever we want and to whoever we want. Its part of a broader ideal in that we are free to be our own person and to make our own way in life the we see fit to do so. The majority of the worlds population don't enjoy that luxury so I feel thankful for that everyday and think it's something we shouldn't take for granted but too often do.

  • News on SKY this morning stating man who put a effigy of grenfell tower burning online has been charged , WTF is going on in the UK??, call him whatever you want to but is this what our police are doing nowadays with kids laying dead on our streets?

  • One of the reasons we've fled to Spain.

No, freedom of expression is being slowly eroded and abolished. The Uk is turninginto a Police State. You are far more likely to get prosecuted for posting a tweet about moslems than mugging an old lady.

The Police, crippled with political correctness, corrupt from the top down, and riddled with Common Purpose stooges and career coppers, is no longer the protector of the people, its the revenue and policy enforcement arm of the NWO.

The Metropolitan Police, for example, are headed up b yCressida Dicks, the common purpose stooge respoinsible for the state execution of the perfectly innocent brzilian tourist Charled De Menedez, by an SO19 officer under her command (who has never been prosecuted for murder, and whos identity has been shielded by the Police). She then orchstrated at first a disinformation campaign, then did all she could to prevent an enquiry, and then attempted to whitewash it.

I was banned off twitter four times for posting the truth about islam. I was also targetted and sent credible death threats by Momentum Menbers and hard line lefties. So i quit twitter, and decided to retire to Spain.

The irony is that 50 years ago Spain was a fascist dictatorship, but is now a free, laid back democracy, whereas UK used to be a free laid back democracy but is rapidly becoming a fascist police state.

That's the perfect example of where the law is now being used to quell insulting behaviour.

I think the man who did that is the scum of the earth, but it's his opinion. When did a insult become illegal?

And as you say Nigel, there are people dying on the streets, but if you say something "off" on a website, you'll get the police kicking in your door at 5am. Lazy cunts should deal with crime, not trivialities.

    That's a Very drastic move...8|

As you may have seen in post 2 of this thread, we have a central thread where all talk about race, religion etc is debated. It's not to stifle debate, but just to keep it in once place. It's the one thing I'm really strict about here, because I have to be.

The irony is that 50 years ago Spain was a fascist dictatorship, but is now a free, laid back democracy, whereas UK used to be a free laid back democracy but is rapidly becoming a fascist police state.

I think you may find out that Spain is no different to here, once you've lived there for a while. The young Spanish, like many other countries are extremely sensitive on certain subjects.

well ill tell you something. The name i used on twitter was only known to the police, since i reported the abuse. Otherwise no-one, not even my wife, knows all the aliases and emails i use online. I learned to be careful and anonymous in the early days of the net, on Usenet and IRC, . Shortly after, one of the lefty nutjobs tweeted my real name and location. They could only have found that by checking police reports of my complaint, so one concludes some of the police are part of the hard left, illegally accessing the PNC and thus could not offer protection.

  • I never use my real name on the net and have never used Facebook and haven't the time for Twitter or any of that at the moment.

I do though tend to stick to Horizon on many sites or something to do with space or the Greek Gods as my usernames when Horizon isn't available.

  • I don't do anything on the net that warrants me getting triangulated, but thanks anyway.

  • Mailnator is good, millions of free temporary email addresses with no registration, i tend to use them when im forced to register on a site to use it, when i only want to use it once..
