Libdem / Labour pact at the next election is starting to grow on kier starmer

  • He may appear daft at times but he is not stupid, he is trying to avoid a conflict as are most other heads of most European nations , even the Americans

  • I wonder now that Labour under Starmer, has now admitted that rejoining is not a possibility, how they could reconcile that with the Lib-Dems EU delusions?

Ferrets in a bag comes to mind. ^^

History is much like an Endless Waltz. The three beats of war, peace and revolution continue on forever.

  • No Americans are warmongering cowboys we should just them them get on with it and distance ourselves from them.

If the Americans are warmongers and cowboys why are they talking with Putin, instead of bombing the hell out of Russia , if this kicks off there is no way anyone on the planet can distance themselves from it

You sound like you are looking forward to it kicking off, has lockdown bored that much you want a world war to liven it up a bit. 🤣

  • Being under the bed won't save anyone when the nukes start flying about, but luckly for Boris and Biden they will have nice cosy bunkers to hide in, shame about the rest of us but hey ho aslong as putin is taught a lesson. 🤣

  • Every GE and local elections I have to force myself to actually vote I know which party I will never vote for which is Labour , I voted for the Tory candidate in the Mayor of London unfortunately Khan was re-elected due to a very low turnout due to the pandemic he was kept in place , he attracted just over 1.2 million votes.

Under his watch he has spent many many millions of taxpayers money, TFL is broke much of it wasted on cycle lanes in central London shutting residential roads which backed up traffic even the Emergency services could not gain access to some streets to deal with urgent calls , Cross Rail cost shed loads of money and at least a year late

He is treating the taxpayers of London as milk cows he has put Council Tax up , he is dishing out fines to motorists as fast as he can , the Government have had to give him £1.8 billion to keep going, now he wants more , he has put tube and bus fares up.

Now due to a pay rise deal he made with the Tube Drivers about three years ago they are due an 8% pay rise which mean tube drivers will be payed about £65,000 a year this will cost roughly £100 millions pounds , due to the drivers refusing to drive at night essential workers find it difficult to get home, it has also damaged the economy of Central London .

    The mans a walking disaster

  • Doesn't really make much difference who you vote for these days as most of them are all posh public schoolboys anyway, probably never wanted for anything while they were growing up as it was all paid for by mater and pater. :D

Sadiq Khan certainly wasn’t ever a posh public schoolboy, and look what a mess he has made of things.

The thing is, any fully functioning person can put themselves forward for election in the UK, but it takes a certain kind of person to aspire to such a role in life.

If you are a bashful type, find it difficult to make decisions, lack a likeable personality or can’t put a convincing argument together, the political option is not for you.

Politicians are not afraid of addressing big audiences and stating their views, know what they want and how to get it and are convincing at putting forward their plans. You don’t have to be public school educated to have those qualities, and in fact such an educational background can be a distinct disadvantage when it comes to getting elected in some communities.

You live in a different world to me, look at the mess the Labour Party created every time they were in office, and some of them went to good Grammar schools and Universities, their London based MP's live in million pound houses , not a flat cap or a Whippet to be seen anywhere

Then they pulled the ladder up and introduced Universities Fees which makes it more difficult for students from humbler backgrounds to go to Uni , but Labour's mantra has never changed its all the Toffs and Rich fault, and some still fall for it

My point is that most MP are the rich folk regardless of which party they belong too and same can be said for the so called union bosses living a champagne socialist lifestyle while the people they are supposed to represent struggle, yes I do live a different world a realistic one, I don't fall for the we are all in it together bollocks any of them spout the only people any of them represent are themselves keeping their nose in the trough of parliamentary perks, none of them truly represent me that's a fact, but then I haven't got my head in the clouds of thinking that any of them are better than any of the others just because they wear a different colour rosette, when they are bullshitting us to try and get us to vote for them.

  • I have been on this planet for over three score and ten and living in London for 51 years , I have spent quite some time in the Commons due to the work I did so I do know something about MP's, I would not buy a second hand car off any of them.

They are not all useless some are better than others as in any workplace and profession , anyone can stand for election provided they are not insane , it matters not which school you went to or how much money they have.

I suggest you go on line as all MP's biography's are on line which will tell you where they were born who their parents were what schools they went to , when they joined a Pollical Party etc , then you will know their backgrounds, I don't guess I find out

Sorry, Ron, I don’t buy that. There are plenty of MPs who don’t come from rich backgrounds. For example, off the top of my head, Alan Johnson used to be a postman and Sajid Javid’s father used to be a bus driver.

There are plenty of other examples if you search for them.
