Hi Hedley, if you're into cricket, why not start a cricket thread in the sports forum?
Do you ever go to any matches?
As for the weather, I'm glad I did my gardening yesterday.... wet, wet, wet today.
I can't find the sports forum.

Fixed that for you, Hedley. This thread is for discussion of all sports. Please note that a separate thread exists for ‘Sport on TV’ in the ‘Broadcasting and Media’ Section.
Cricket. New season starts soon and I am hopeful that God's own county can return to division 1
What are the chances, do you reckon?
Reading went into the football premier league for one year a few years back but it’s been bubbling away just below it for some years now. I hope your cricket team does better.
And who do you predict will win the Ashes this year?

A County like Yorkshire should never get relegated but I am hopeful of a promotion. The problem is that a lot of the best players do not play County Cricket very often. This season they will not see much of Harry Brook. My actual club represents a village in Shropshire. I predict that the Ashes will be close with England just edging it.
Why, oh why does the BBC choose to chop and change channels for Wimbledon when they could simply stick all the matches on BBC2?
The current system causes problems for people wishing to record the matches, particularly when matches over-run and the channel swaps vary from advertised times.
Thankfully we have the BBCi-Player and maybe in time that’s how all of our BBC viewing will be done.

I reckon they should all be on BBC2
Absolutely. But it seems that the corporate brain of the BBC hurts when considering such notions - unless, of course, it never occurred to them…
We will have to access additional Wimbledon matches via the BBCi-Player this year rather than the red button.
Premiership football returns next Friday with what I still call the Charity Shield curtain raiser tomorrow.
.
Who can dethrone Manchester City? (or is footie a frowned on topic here?)
Rugby is on today warm up game England v Wales, don't follow football have not done for 50 years
Today the Men's World cycling road race was stopped by climate protesters, some cementing themselves to the road surface.. ..... Just shows how bloody thick those loony lefties are.------ At a time when people are being encouraged to cycle instead of using a car, who did those morons target ???? Yes you've guessed it, Cyclists..
I am mainly interested in the Championship league
How about foreign guest sides in the English Football League Trophy and English FA Trophy?
The Scottish allow Northern Irish and Welsh sides in the Scottish Challenge Cup.
My idea is invite all Scottish Premiership sides not in Europe, plus selected sides from the Welsh Cymru Premier, Ireland and North West France into the EFL Trophy.
Plus invite all Welsh Cymru Premier, Scottish Championship and selected sides from Ireland, France and Belgium into the FA Trophy.
Welsh football would benefit enormously.
I do not support a British league merger. I want cross border cups on top of domestic and European football. I want 3 strong leagues in Great Britain.
Let's have 3 strong leagues in Great Britain.

I would support a cup involving all areas of the UK but it would need to be regionalised in the early rounds
Let them combine at quarter final level so only the better sides are eligible otherwise too big.
