DEI - Diversity Equity and Inclusion: A Toxic Trojan Horse? What Do You Think?

When making a post, please ensure it complies with this site's Main Rules at all times.
  • You are missing the points I’ve made.

    1. You don’t need to run courses like this to achieve the objective of eliminating inequality, etc.

    2. This ‘small amount of money per person’ is actually a large amount of money overall, and we are spending hundreds of thousands of pounds on highly paid specialists in the subject. This money would be better used being diverted to the front line.

    3. The attitude that a small percentage of a huge budget can be wasted in this way is indicative of a lax financial regime that is the cause of a huge amount of waste that nobody in the NHS seems to want to deal with.

    4. Nobody of fair mind wants to see minorities abused. However, this DEI rubbish will not improve that at all. Bigots will always be bigots. It’s their behaviour at work that needs to be tackled, and those who don’t abide by it should be disciplined, and ultimately sacked if they don’t improve. Simples.

Anyway, clearly you are going to persist in failing to grasp the actual points being made to you and doing what you accuse others of doing - misrepresenting what has been said. You have claimed several times that opponents of DEI training in the NHS want to see the abuse of minorities, and yet no-one has said that or even thinks that.

  • And you are going to obsess about 12p per employee and less than 0.00001% of organisation budget making employees better aware.

If you wanted to communicate that you actually feel that abuse of minorities is OK you could hardly do a better job.

  • No they don't. The vast majority of you maybe, there's still hope for your left big toe.

I bet you still haven't read that link about what DEI actually is.

I’ve done the training Steve. I know full well. I spoke to my colleagues afterwards. Abused and insulted is correct. Patronising, condescending, dumbed down, broad sweeping, generalised pseudo psychology gruel. Delivered by out of work actors and activists including black and gay cast members and activists.

Clearly no ethnics or LGBTQ in the target audience.

    Absolute bollocks.

It creates more problems than it solves. Now add insult and deep mistrust to the mix.

As I thought - you are not listening. The words heads and brick walls come to mind.

I’m not buying any of this claptrap Steve. You’re on your own, mate.

  • I've told you before, I'm retired.

As for your apparent assertion that a group of people would be 'better' if they had no minorities in it then do you realise how bigoted that looks. Maybe you could clarify your comment.

    Lying again .

you need to see someone about this problem

  • Well in at least one case because she told me she was getting married to her girlfriend that's how.

As for 'we' it is anyone who lives in the UK and I repeat we have to be better than freely allowing abuse, harassment and discrimination against good people for innate characteristics they can do nothing about.

A load of bollox. You mean that YOU things this way. Bully for you.

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
