Jodie Foster joins the fray

  • Oh, look Jodie is having her say about an attack on democracy.

Is this out of a great love for her fellow travellers? Has she suddenly become a warm, fuzzy people-liker? I remember a comment she made a while ago that militates rather horribly against this:

Like the women she has played, Foster strives to be fearless. Maybe even too much so. "I have to warn people, my friends, about this--explain that it's not that I feel cold, but I cannot not be cold," she says. "Look, it's terrible, I know, but (weakness) really, really bugs me, to the point that if there is a wounded bird on the sidewalk, I look at it and I go 'I think I'll just kick it.' "

  • Already had Adele tearfully giving away her music award. That was quite repugnant. Want to hear something interesting from the other side of the world? A black female student radio presenter reacted to this by saying that she thought Adel was hugely ungrateful to the people who awarded her the prize and that what she did was a slap in the face to them.
