These are flat and make flat webs spun onto tree bark. They wait till their prey gets stuck on the sticky threads laid across the bark. Their camouflage is amazing, you can hardly see them. This one is more prominent because it is on a wooden pole holding up the walkway next to the garage, but when they are on actual tree bark, they are near invisible.

  • Another big spider... Yikes! Very well camouflaged again.

    • First time I'd seen one and that's no wonder as they are probably on the trees but I just can't make them out with that camouflage. You have to be careful where you put your hand, you never know who you are going to land on. :D
